The Písnice housing estate lies in the south of Prague and belongs to the district of Praha-Libuš.[1][2]

Owners and revitalisation

This year the groups SATPO and WOOD & Company bought the estate from the previous owner, the group CIB Group, which ran rental housing there.[1][2] The new owners also took over the revitalisation project, which includes new construction. According to the association Naše Písnice, instead of modernising the panel blocks and public spaces, the project focuses on new buildings, especially around the planned Line D metro station.[1] According to the sources, the new owners plan to repair the existing flats and then sell them, which worries tenants.[1][2]

Referendum

The Libuš council decided to hold a local referendum in which residents are to give their view on whether they agree with the revitalisation under the as yet non-final zoning decision of the building office of Prague 12. The referendum is to take place on 9 and 10 October 2026, together with the municipal and Senate elections.[1][2] The district also wants to seek a public meeting between representatives of the new owners and residents, and has set up a working group for that purpose.[1]
