On Sunday 25 October 2026 police received a report that a man had died in a flat in Jablonec nad Nisou. Regional detectives classified the case as murder on the basis of the steps taken and charged a middle-aged man who knew the deceased. On Wednesday 28 October 2026 a court remanded the accused in custody, so the prosecution is conducted with him in detention.[1][2]
