After the city leadership approved significant changes to the project, including replacing the main bridge over the Vltava with a replica instead of the planned reconstruction, the Úřad pro ochranu hospodářské soutěže (ÚOHS) ruled that a new contract had thereby effectively been awarded without a tender procedure.[1][2][3] The office therefore ordered Technická správa komunikací hlavního města Prahy not to continue with the original contract.[1][2][3] By that time one of the bridges of the complex had already been demolished and construction of its replacement was under way, which Technická správa komunikací hlavního města Prahy had to interrupt and preserve because of the office's decision.[1][2][3]

According to a headline in Pražský deník of 29 July 2025, both Technická správa komunikací hlavního města Prahy and Metrostav TBR lodged an appeal against the decision of the antitrust office.[2]
