Helena Pešatová is a senator for STAN who represents district no. 69 Frýdek-Místek. Previously she was the mayor of Frýdlant nad Ostravicí for many years.[2]

Senate elections 2020

In the second round of the 2020 election she won 54.03 percent of the vote. In second place was Jiří Carbol of KDU-ČSL.[3]

Senate elections 2026

In 2026 Pešatová sought to defend her seat. She ran for STAN, the Czech Pirate Party and TOP 09. [5] She advanced to the second round together with Petr Korč of the Naše Město F-M movement, the former mayor of Frýdek-Místek. In the first round their results differed by 990 votes, the narrowest margin of the three Senate districts of the Moravian-Silesian Region.[2][3][4] In the second round Korč defeated Pešatová, and she did not keep her Senate seat.[1][4]

After the result was announced, Pešatová thanked the voters, congratulated the winner and said that in the Senate she had tried to help municipalities. [5]
