Friedrich Merz is the German Federal Chancellor.[1]

Talks with President Petr Pavel

On 21 October 2026, Merz received the Czech President Petr Pavel at the Chancellery in Berlin, where Pavel was on a two-day working visit. The talks covered Czech-German relations and questions of foreign and security policy. No joint press conference was scheduled.[1][2]
