According to calculations by the Czech News Agency, Petr Štěpánek (STAN) and Barbora Daňhová (ANO) advanced to the second round of the Senate elections in the Příbram district.

According to calculations by the Czech News Agency, the incumbent senator Petr Štěpánek (STAN) advanced to the second round of the Senate elections in the Příbram district. He had 44.21 percent of the vote, with Barbora Daňhová (ANO) second at 26.15 percent. About 46 percent of voters took part and six candidates ran.[1] The second round in the Příbram district is to be held a week after the first round. [1]

According to Novinky.cz, after more than 75 percent of the polling districts had been counted, Štěpánek had almost 45 percent of the vote and Daňhová 26 percent. When about half of the votes had been counted, Petr Štěpánek's result was around 44 percent, according to Novinky.cz. [2] Simona Luftová, the joint candidate of the Green Party and the Czech Pirate Party, finished third by a wide margin.[2]

Štěpánek has represented the Příbram area in the Senate since 2020. From 2016 to 2020 he was a member of the assembly of the Central Bohemian Region, and from 2006 to 2022 he was mayor of Petrovice in the Příbram area.[2]
