Evita is a musical whose central character is Eva Perón. Moravské divadlo Olomouc premiered the production in January 2026.[1] It is directed by Marek David, and the Czech text was written by Michael Prostějovský.[2]

Preparation of the production

According to the theatre, the project has come a long way. Two artistic managements of Moravské divadlo Olomouc took part in preparing it, and the result reflects the work of dozens of people on stage and behind the scenes.[2]

Cast and awards

Eva Perón in the Olomouc production is played by Natálie Tichánková, who received the statuette for the role at the Thalia Awards on 3 October 2026.[1] The jury praised her command of the singing, acting and movement aspects of the role, and especially her scenes with the character of Che.[2] The role of Che is played by Radim Biersky, who was nominated for it in the same category.[1] The production received four nominations at the Thalia Awards in total.[2]

Further performances

Moravské divadlo Olomouc staged Evita on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at 2:30 p.m.; an autograph session was to follow the performance.[1][2]
