After the 2026 municipal elections, the coalition of OK Změna pro Opavu, ODS and Zelení pro Opavu agreed on a joint course in Opava.

According to the Czech News Agency, Opava is to be run by a coalition of OK Změna pro Opavu, ODS and Zelení pro Opavu. The winning ANO movement of the current mayor Tomáš Navrátil would end up in opposition. The mayor is to be Petr Czudek, leader of OK Změna pro Opavu, a former basketball player and coach.
In the 39-member council after the municipal elections, ANO won 17 seats, OK Změna pro Opavu 13, ODS five, and Občané městských částí Opavy and Zelení pro Opavu two each. According to Novinky, ANO received 37.25 percent of the votes. The Opava Greens became the deciding force.
The three parties signed a memorandum on post-election cooperation. Volný, the leader of the Zelení pro Opavu list, said the Greens decided on the basis of the preferences of candidates and voters, programme agreement and also with regard to developments in the country as a whole, where the way the government works does not suit them. Dominik Janků, the leader of the ODS list, said the only personnel matter in the memorandum is Czudek as mayor. The parties want to sign the coalition agreement next week and to agree on the programme and the allocation of posts of councillors and deputy mayors by then.
Navrátil said he does not regard the situation as settled, because the coalition agreement has not been signed and the council has not yet met. According to him, ANO also has a signed memorandum with Občané městských částí Opavy and Zelení pro Opavu and intends to keep negotiating. He described a coalition with only 20 councillors against 19 as unlikely and risky.
