Tomáš Navrátil (ANO) is the mayor of Opava and the leader of the ANO movement's Opava candidate list in the 2026 municipal elections.[1][3]
The ANO movement won 37.25% of the vote and 17 of 39 seats in Opava, the highest result, and Navrátil welcomed it, saying it was satisfaction for the work done so far.[3] Turnout was 43.93%.[3] After the elections he wanted to continue the existing coalition with Občané městských částí Opavy and Zelená pro Opavu.[3] On 14 October 2026 he said he wanted to call a broader round of talks with the Greens, Občané městských částí Opavy and OK Změna pro Opavu, and said that cooperation with ODS was unthinkable for him.[4]
On 21 October 2026 the leaders of ODS and Zelená pro Opavu announced that city hall should be led by a coalition of OK Změna pro Opavu, ODS and Zelená pro Opavu with Petr Czudek as mayor, which would leave ANO in opposition.[1][2] Navrátil told the Czech News Agency that he did not consider the situation closed because only two different memoranda, and not a coalition agreement, had been signed, and added: "We want to keep fighting."[1]
