Participation in accident investigations

On 4 October 2026 an ultralight aircraft crashed onto a golf course near the airfield in Havlíčkův Brod when the pilot failed to manage the landing manoeuvre. The police said that a staff member of Ústav pro odborné zjišťování příčin leteckých nehod travelled to the site [1][2].

According to the server Jihlavská Drbna, a similar accident occurred on the same day in Hosín in the České Budějovice area, where the crew of a Sting RG aircraft failed to manage the landing manoeuvre and the machine ended up off the runway on the grassy area of the airfield. This accident was also to be investigated by aviation experts alongside police officers [2].
