In the first three quarters of 2026, the state collected 15.08 billion korunas in tolls, about five percent more than a year earlier. The figures were provided to the Czech News Agency by the CzechToll spokesman Miroslav Beneš. CzechToll administers the toll system. For the whole of 2025, 19.1 billion korunas were collected in tolls, 11.3 percent more than a year earlier.

The number of toll transactions processed rose by 1.24 percent compared with the previous year to more than 106.25 million, an average of 3.5 million per day. In every month of 2026, toll collection was higher than in the same month of 2025. In September 2026, carriers paid 1.763 billion korunas, four percent more than a year earlier. Of this amount, 88 percent came from motorways and the rest from tolled sections of first-class roads. The system recorded at least one transaction in September for more than 327,000 vehicles.

At the end of September 2026, more than 812,000 vehicles with a weight above 3.5 tonnes were registered in the system. Roughly 517,000 on-board units had been issued to carriers, about 27 percent of them to Czech carriers. Since September 2026, tolls have also been collected on a further 17.2 kilometres of newly completed sections of the D3 motorway, the D35 motorway and the D49 motorway. In total, 1,592.2 kilometres of motorways and 1,362.5 kilometres of first-class roads are tolled. The CzechToll director general Petr Chvátal said the system has to adapt to changes in the tolled network.
