In October 2026, a sharp clash took place on the discussion program 360° on CNN Prima NEWS between MP Jindřich Rajchl (elected for SPD according to the newspaper FORUM 24, now representing PRO) and the first deputy chairman of KDU-ČSL, Benjamin Činčila. The debate concerned the possible effects of abolishing television and radio fees, a measure pushed by the governing coalition of ANO, SPD and the Motorists.[1]

Rajchl defended voluntary payment of the fees, comparing them to a highway toll sticker. In his view, people should not be forced to pay for a service they do not use. Činčila countered that, by the same logic, people could pick and choose which services and policies to support through their taxes, and pointed out that public television serves the whole of society, not just individual viewers.[1]

Rajchl claimed that some external contractors of Czech Television have overpriced contracts and that the institution does not manage its finances transparently enough. He branded everyone drawing money from it through external contracts as "parasites." Činčila rejected such language and told the MP to stop shouting, saying he was behaving like a "boor." The moderator, Pavlína Wolfová, asked that people working as sole traders not be called parasites.[1]

After the show ended, Činčila described Rajchl's manner of communication on social media as unacceptable. Rajchl, on Facebook, reiterated his opposition to the fees, calling them an outdated relic.[1]
