On 28 September 2026 it was made public that the Czech arms group STV Group, in its annual report for 2025 filed in the Collection of Documents, reported a net profit of 7.5 billion korun, almost 40 percent higher year on year. Revenues more than doubled to 24.4 billion korun from 11.6 billion korun in 2024. The company, which supplies military materiel to Ukraine, described 2025 as the most successful year in its history and last year paid out dividends totaling 4.5 billion korun.[1][2][3]*
Impact of the war in Ukraine
The company stated that the war conflict in Ukraine, which began at the end of February 2022, has a fundamental impact on its production and business activity. Since March 2022 it has supplied mainly ammunition and tank and artillery equipment. Whereas initially most deliveries consisted of resale of ammunition from stock and from third parties, since 2024 the vast majority of sales have come from its own production.[1][2]
Investment in own production
Although prices of military materiel on the market fell in 2025, the company's profitability nevertheless rose, which according to the company was influenced above all by the strategic decision to replace expensive foreign subcontracts with its own domestic production. The company invested in its own capacities and has fully localized the production of shell bodies for 155 mm, 152 mm and 122 mm artillery ammunition. Preparations for full self-sufficiency in smokeless powders and artillery fuzes have also advanced.[1][2][3]
Contracts for the Czech army
As part of projects for the Czech army, STV Group prepared for deliveries of 155 mm artillery ammunition for Caesar howitzers and continued serial deliveries of RPG-7 ammunition and ballistic vests. It is also fulfilling won public contracts for deliveries of 120 mm tank ammunition for Leopard 2A4 tanks and 30×165 mm ammunition.[1][2]
Ownership and operations
The owners of STV Group, which belongs under the holding STV Invest, are Martin Drda and Ludmila Drdová. The group produces small-arms ammunition, medium-caliber ammunition, engineer, anti-tank, mortar, tank and artillery ammunition, plastic explosives, small arms and anti-tank weapons. The group also includes Poličské strojírny in the Svitavy district, where large-caliber ammunition is produced and where the company also carries out repairs of military equipment and supplies spare parts. At the end of 2025 the company had 570 employees.[1][2]
