Petra Pecková (STAN) is the regional governor of the Central Bohemian Region. At the request of the state enterprise Povodí Vltavy she convened the Commission for Drought and Water Shortage Management of the Central Bohemian Region, which met on 7 October 2026. The commission decided to declare a state of water shortage for the Vltava and the Elbe in this part of the region.[1][2]
