Petr Moravec is the director of the Krkonoše National Park Administration (KRNAP), based in Vrchlabí. He took up the post in June 2026. The administration had previously been headed by Robin Böhnisch, whom Minister of the Environment Igor Červený dismissed in March 2026.
At the end of September 2026 Moravec became chair of the registered association Asociace národních parků ČR, which he founded together with two other persons. The association is seated at the address of the KRNAP Administration. According to its entry in the commercial register, its purpose is to support, develop and protect the natural and cultural heritage in national parks and to support cooperation among entities in nature conservation.
