She shot the film over five years, mostly on an iPhone. She also included old photographs in it, which she stylises with the help of artificial intelligence.[1] At the festival in Karlovy Vary, where it was presented in a Czech pre-premiere, she called it deeply personal.[1] In February 2026 the film won the award for best documentary at the Berlinale.[1]
In September 2026 Czech film academy members chose it as the Czech entry for the Oscar in the best international film category.[1] Pavel Sladký, film critic of Radiožurnál, ranked it among the best Czech films ever.[2] For its general release in cinemas, the film is to be accompanied by an awareness campaign.[1]
