The football club Bohemians Praha 1905 has received a building permit for the south stand of the Ďolíček stadium from the building department of the Prague 10 district office. The club announced this on 20 October 2026.[1]
Course of the work
Work on the foundation piles is due to begin on 21 October 2026. Club director Darek Jakubowicz said that if everything goes smoothly, the piles could be drilled by the start of November. Placing the reinforcement and letting the concrete harden would then take about ten days, after which the steelworkers would move in. In case of complications, the piling would take two weeks longer.[1][2]
According to Jakubowicz, construction is to continue almost until Christmas, pause over the holidays and resume in the first week of January.[1][2]
Reconstruction of the stadium
The south stand by Vršovická Street is the first stage of an overall reconstruction that is expected to last about five years. The club presented the design of the rebuilt stadium in May 2025 and holds the stadium on a long-term lease from the city for a further 60 years. Capacity is to rise from 6,250 to more than 8,000 seats, and the stadium is to meet UEFA Category 4.[1][2]
