On Sunday, 4 October 2026, shortly before 1:30 p.m., a motorcycle accident occurred on road I/19 near Pelhřimov. According to police spokeswoman Dana Čírtková, it happened in the direction from Humpolec to Tábor, in the section between the Shell petrol station and Starý Pelhřimov. The motorcyclist died at the scene.[1][2]

Police asked for help from witnesses who saw the accident or drove through the spot around 1:20 p.m. in either direction. They would also welcome dashcam recordings, and witnesses are asked to call 158.[1][2]
