Martin Vondrášek is the Police President of the Police of the Czech Republic.

On Monday 26 October 2026 he met First Deputy and Director of the Protection Service of the Czech Police Jan Koníř, who ordered an examination of the circumstances of the intervention in the Chamber of Deputies building on 23 October 2026. A group of visitors was escorted out of the Chamber's gallery during the debate on the bill abolishing television and radio fees. According to Vondrášek, the result of the examination is to be available by the end of the week, and until then he will not draw hasty conclusions. Interior Minister Lubomír Metnar said on 26 October 2026 that the police would carry out an internal audit of the intervention, and expects that Chamber deputies will also address it in a committee. ODS leader Martin Kupka wrote to the Police President over the conduct of the Protection Service. He asks for the intervention to be reviewed, for an explanation of who ordered it, and for camera and service recordings to be preserved. The letter was also received by Interior Minister Lubomír Metnar, and in it ODS also asks for the available information to be published, where legislation allows. [6]

In October 2026 Vondrášek also commended a man who on 10 October 2026 helped police officers whose vehicle fell from Hlávkův Bridge in Prague into the Vltava.
