Markéta Gregorová is a Czech Member of the European Parliament and a member of the Czech Pirate Party.[1][2]

In October 2026 she called for a stronger reaction by the European Union to Russian attacks.[1] According to Gregorová, the Union's response should include not only sanctions but also retaliatory steps, and she said Russia had neither violated European airspace nor attacked civilian infrastructure by mistake. [1] She also expressed disagreement with a proposal of the Irish presidency of the Council of the EU.[2] She has been a member of the Czech Pirate Party since 2012, chaired the European Pirate Party from 2018 to 2020 and has served in the European Parliament since 2019, where she is a member of the Greens group. [1]

As examples of targets that in her view Russia did not hit by mistake, she named ships in Bulgaria, houses in Poland and an airport in Germany. [1]

The EU's head of diplomacy Kaja Kallas warned at a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg against an escalation of Russian attacks in the Black Sea area, while the Union is preparing a new emergency security protocol for a faster joint response to hybrid threats. [1]
