Město Touškov lies in the Plzeň area in the Plzeň Region. Its landmark is the Church of St John the Baptist, whose tower was completed in the 19th century by Baron Jan Antonín Starck, owner of the Čemín estate, to which Touškov belonged.[1][2] Baron Starck also acquired a tower clock and a new organ for the church. [1]

In the local cemetery stands the Chapel of the Holy Cross with the Starck family tomb. In the 1940s and 1950s the tomb was forcibly opened several times and the valuable metal coffins in it were damaged. [3] According to mayor Kateřina Duchková, the town restored it in 2024 to 2026; on 3 October 2026, after a requiem Mass and a procession, the remains of Baron Starck were returned to it.[1]

In 1848 Starck released the inhabitants of Touškov from their previous obligations and fees to the manorial lord, and the then town council sent him a letter of thanks for it. [1]

TJ Sokol Město Touškov held a sports morning on 16 September 2026 for children from surrounding nursery and primary schools, attended by about 500 children at 21 stations. [4]

According to a report of 27 September 2026, a new 1,112-metre section of cycle path was being built from Dolní Vlkýš to the road from Malesice to Město Touškov, and the connecting section into the town is to be finished by the end of October 2026. [5]
