Míla Fürstová is a painter who was born in 1975 in Pelhřimov and lives in Cheltenham, England. She works in the graphic technique of etching, in which a motif is etched with acid into a metal plate and then printed on paper. She finishes the completed pictures with colours and combines techniques, producing intricately detailed dreamlike and romantic images [2].

Her work has been created, among others, for the band Coldplay, for the company Mattoni and for the singer Meky Žbirka, whose album Double Album of October 2018 she provided with its visual look and cover. It also includes book illustrations, for example for Mácha's Máj [1].

The opening of her largest exhibition to date was held at the Municipal House in Prague, with hundreds of people waiting in front of the building [1][2]. Preparing the exhibition took two years. The producer and organizer was Katka Žbirková, and the exhibition was prepared by curator Jan Dotřel and architect Josef Tomšej. They selected from the artist's archive and brought to Czechia works that had not been shown here before, including older works from her student years. According to Dotřel, they divided the work into five circles: symbolism, surrealism, motherhood, corporeality and architecture. The exhibition is not accompanied by texts, only five quotations [1].

Fürstová said that at the age of eighteen she received a rejection letter from the Academy of Fine Arts and that it was precisely her Czech roots that gave her the strength to continue working [1].
