Jeseník is a town in the Olomouc Region. After the 2026 municipal elections its town hall is changing leadership: the winning group PRO Jeseník is to form a coalition with the ANO movement, which together won 11 of the 21 seats on the council. [1] PRO Jeseník won seven seats, as did Jeseník srdcem; according to Hanácká Drbna the win was narrow, by 59 votes. ANO has four councillors. [1]
The new mayor is to be the PRO Jeseník leader Dušan Antálek, who is to replace the current mayor Zdeňka Blišťanová of Jeseník srdcem. [2] The latter demanded three seats on the town council and both deputy mayor posts; PRO Jeseník agreed with ANO on two council seats and one deputy mayor. [1][2] According to the groups, talks on a broader coalition continue. [1] The priorities of the new leadership include recovery of the town after the floods, security and management of public funds.
