Jan Čižinský is the mayor of Prague 7 and a candidate of the Praha sobě grouping.[4]
In the Senate elections in the Prague 1 district, according to Czech News Agency projections, he advanced to the second round, in which he will face the publisher Jiří Padevět, running for STAN.[2][3] According to Novinky.cz, Padevět held more than half of the first-round votes for a long time during the night after the vote on 10 October 2026.[1] According to bookmakers approached by the Czech News Agency, a close contest between the two candidates was expected.[4]
On 8 October 2026 he appeared in a Czech Radio Prague debate as a representative of the Praha sobě grouping, which ran for the Assembly of the Capital City of Prague. Representatives of four other running groupings also took part in it.[5]
