Helena Třeštíková is a Czech director who makes time-lapse documentaries, filmed over many years. Her films include the cycle Manželské etudy.[1][3]
The documentary about Bára Basiková
Třeštíková first approached the singer Bára Basiková in 1996.[1] What was originally planned as a project turned into a thirty-year time-lapse documentary with more than a hundred hours of footage.[1] According to a FORUM 24 review, the documentary about the singer is showing in cinemas.[3]
Working with film stock
In an interview with Novinky.cz Třeštíková said that in the past she could use at most three times the film stock for a fifteen-minute black-and-white documentary, and that this taught her to think through shots in advance.[2]
