The SynBiol group, owned by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, ended 2025 with a consolidated loss of CZK 477.5 million. A year earlier the loss was just under CZK 47 million. Revenue rose year on year by 36 percent to CZK 11.3 billion. The figures come from the consolidated annual report published in the Collection of Documents of the commercial register. [1][2]
The annual report states that the result was strongly affected by the write-off of consolidation differences of CZK 824.4 million. Such a difference arises between the acquisition price of a stake in a company and the corresponding share of its equity, and is written off gradually. Other financial costs of the group rose from about CZK 114 million to CZK 436 million; the report counts among them exchange-rate losses, the residual value of sold short-term securities and bank fees. [1][2]
Consolidated operating profit fell to CZK 69.9 million, almost CZK 93 million less than in 2024. The group nevertheless described the performance of its companies in the report as good and said that its healthcare, property development and e-commerce segments continue to expand. [2]
The group's assets at the end of 2025 reached CZK 22.8 billion, CZK 3.7 billion more than a year earlier. Equity fell from almost CZK 12.3 billion to about CZK 11.8 billion. Bank loans rose from CZK 2.87 billion to CZK 5.25 billion. According to the report, the largest creditors include Československá obchodní banka, Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna, Všeobecná úverová banka and Erste Group Bank. [1][2]
Hartenberg Holding, which belongs to the group, reported, according to previously published results, revenue of EUR 940 million and operating profit (EBITDA) of EUR 130 million, but after depreciation of investments it ended with a loss of CZK 368 million. The company Imoba fell into a loss of CZK 65 million, and its revenue fell by about 13 percent to CZK 552 million. [1][2]
