Doosan Enerbility is a Korean company that has contracts with KHNP for the supply of the nuclear steam supply system and turbine generator for the new units at Dukovany.[2] According to the server Novinky.cz, these are separate contracts for reactor equipment and turbine systems. The turbine and turbine hall equipment, worth several billion crowns, are to be supplied by the subsidiary Doosan Škoda Power, based in Plzeň.[1]
Doosan Enerbility is also a member of the consortium with Daewoo Engineering & Construction with which KHNP negotiated a contract for construction work at Dukovany. KHNP ended the talks without agreement on 29 October 2026.[2] According to Novinky, the dispute mainly concerned how construction costs are calculated and who would bear the risk of their possible increase. [1] According to Novinky, the firms rejected the notion that the talks simply failed and said they had wanted to continue at least until the end of the year. The equipment supply contracts are not affected by the end of the talks.[1]
KHNP said it would begin the process of terminating the cooperation agreement with the construction consortium and prepare a new tender for a construction contractor. [2]
According to Novinky, a new partner for the construction work is to be selected by July 2027. [1]
According to Ekonomický deník, Doosan Enerbility shares fell by 7.65 percent on the Korean stock exchange on 29 October 2026. [3]
