In the Karviná Senate district, Brzyszkowská (ANO) and Kazík (OK) advanced to the second round on 10 October 2026; turnout did not reach 30 percent.

In Senate district No. 75 – Karviná, Brzyszkowská (ANO) and Kazík (OK) advanced from the first round to the second on 10 October 2026. Seven candidates competed for the seat. The incumbent senator Ondřej Feber (ANO) did not defend his seat.[1][2]
Voter turnout did not reach 30 percent.[1] On the result, Brzyszkowská said: “We are going to the second round, we are going on.” She said that the voters’ trust pleased her and that, given the strength of ANO in the region, she had counted on advancing. According to Novinky.cz, she had not considered beforehand that she would gain such a large lead over the other advancing candidate. [1] She linked the low turnout to the fact that the Senate elections were held at the same time as the municipal ones. Before the second round she intends to ask all candidates who were unsuccessful in the first round for support.[1] On the low turnout Brzyszkowská said: “Of course we should think about why that is.” [1]
