Bobová dráha Praha is an amusement complex in Prosek in Prague 9, operated by the company Bobovka s.r.o. The original trough track there has operated since 2003; it is 700 metres long, and the bobsled runs in an open stainless-steel trough. In 2022 its wooden structure was replaced with an iron one [1].

Tracks and complex

Since October 2026 the complex also has the Alpine Coaster 2.0 track, 650 metres long, on which the bobsled is guided along a rail. On both tracks it is possible to ride at up to 45 km/h, and the rider regulates the speed with a brake. The capacity of the complex is 400 people per hour. Both tracks were supplied by the German manufacturer Wiegand [1][2].

The tracks are linked by a structure of five steel ellipsoids with viewing terraces by the architect Ondřej Fuchs of the studio NOSCALE architects. According to Pražský deník, from the higher terraces one can see across Vysočany as far as the Petřín Lookout Tower and Hradčany. The complex also has stalls and a children's playground; according to Pražský patriot, a building with restaurants and a children's playground will open in spring [1][2].

Operation and prices

Tickets are valid for both tracks, and the fare is paid only on site. According to data from 21 October 2026, one ride cost CZK 99, five rides CZK 400 and ten rides CZK 700, valid for three months; tickets for 20 rides at CZK 1,300 and for 30 rides at CZK 1,800 are valid for a year. On the Alpine Coaster children from the age of eight with a height of at least 1.35 metres may ride on their own, while on the classic track children under eight ride with an adult [2].

Reconstruction

The complex was closed for more than a year because of the reconstruction and reopened on 21 October 2026. According to the operator, the investment in the reconstruction reached roughly CZK 100 million and was made without subsidies; it was paid for from the operator's own resources, a supplier credit from the company Lachman Styl and private investments, and a bond issue brought in about CZK 3 million. According to Pražský patriot, the Prague Alpine Coaster is only the second track of this type among 23 bobsled tracks in Czechia, the first being at Monínec [1][2].
