Barbora Strýcová is a former Czech tennis player and, since 2026, captain of the Czech team in the Billie Jean King Cup.

Barbora Strýcová is a former Czech tennis player. As a player she won the Wimbledon doubles title twice and three Fed Cup titles with the Czech team [1]. The team won these titles in 2015, 2016 and 2018. [1] She became captain of the Czech women’s team in 2026, succeeding Petr Pála [1][2]. In 2025 she had already taken part with Pála in the play-off in Varaždin, Croatia. [2]
Under her leadership the team won the Billie Jean King Cup in Shenzhen in September 2026 [1][3]. The Czech team of Linda Nosková, Karolína Muchová, Marie Bouzková, Kateřina Siniaková and Sára Bejlek won the twelfth title in the history of the competition and the first since 2018. [3] In the semifinal it beat Spain 2:0 [4]. In the final on 27 September 2026 the team beat Ukraine 2:0; it won by the same score in the quarterfinal against Great Britain and did not lose a single point at the tournament, so no doubles match was needed. [1] After returning to Prague on 29 September 2026, Strýcová said at a press conference that she believed her players could win the competition in the coming years as well [3]. She was the only member of the team to arrive in Prague at that time, as the players stayed in China for further tournaments, and according to her the six trophies were due to follow the next week.
