The organisation Ropid, which organises Prague Integrated Transport in Prague, announced changes to service on the days around the 28 October public holiday and the autumn school holidays in 2026. According to its spokesman Filip Drápal, the reason is an expected drop in demand for travel.[1][2]

Timetables

On Wednesday 28 October 2026, public transport lines are to run to Sunday timetables. On Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October, half-holiday timetables will apply on all metro lines and on most trolleybus and bus lines; they slightly lengthen intervals, mainly in the morning and afternoon peaks.[1][2] Trams are to run to regular timetables.[1][2]

School lines

School lines do not run on Thursday and Friday. Some lines serving schools with a head teacher's day off have not run since Monday 26 October or Tuesday 27 October respectively.[1][2] Ropid recommends checking connections in journey planners or in the PID Lítačka app.[2]
