Zdravotní pojišťovna ministerstva vnitra (ZPMV) is a Czech health insurance company. In October 2026 the media described its finances as loss-making for several years in a row [1].

The insurer was headed by Director General David Kostka, who left the post after eleven years. Executive Director Otakar Smolík left in spring 2026 [1]. In 2024 the administrative board urged the management to look for operating savings [1].

Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch said that his ministry, together with the Ministry of Finance, had initiated an inspection of the insurer's finances. Compared with the General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic, which has five times as many insured persons, management pay at ZPMV is said to be higher [1].

A related event is described in the article Remuneration and severance pay of the former ZPMV director.
