Marek Sedlák, chairman of the 1st Basic Trade Union Organisation of Letiště Praha, said on 8 October 2026 that the unions will meet in the following week to discuss the further status of the strike alert. After ongoing talks, he said, the agenda is to consider whether it is necessary to continue the alert.

The unions have been on strike alert since 21 July 2026 over the selection of Radomír Lašák to head the airport, as they are concerned about the company's future direction. Lašák joined the management on 1 August on the basis of an earlier decision by the Ministry of Finance, and on 3 August the board of directors elected him chairman. The unions link him to the demise of Czech Airlines, which he previously headed.

Trade unionist Vlasta Pallová said on Czech Television that the airport management does not communicate with the unions sufficiently. Sedlák's organisation distanced itself from her statement, saying that Lašák communicates with the unions regularly and passes on information, including the long-term development plan of Letiště Praha. Pallová responded that, in her view, the strike alert continues, that the chairman of the board has the hundred days promised by the unions, and that she has not been informed of any talks on the strike alert.

In September, the Ministry of Finance announced selection procedures for two members of the airport's board of directors. It wants to replace Martin Kučera and Marek Mastník, who are responsible for security and air operations and for finance and corporate services respectively. In August it announced selection procedures for three directors. The airport has also commissioned an external forensic audit of its management under the previous leadership.
