The publisher New Look Media is to take over publication of the Czech editions of Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan magazines from 1 January 2027.

The publisher New Look Media, owned by businessman Miloš Štěpař, announced on 30 October 2026 that from 1 January 2027 it will publish the Czech editions of the magazines Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. It obtained the licences through a partnership with the American company Hearst Magazines International.[1][2]
The previous publisher, the company Mafra, did not extend its licensing cooperation with Hearst. The last issues under Mafra are due to appear in November 2026, and the cooperation ends on 31 December 2026.[1][2]
New Look Media intends to build on the existing presence of both brands and to develop print editions, digital content and events. The original content of the Czech editorial teams is to be supplemented by selected material from Hearst's international network. The publisher plans to announce the editorial leadership and its publishing plans separately.[1][2]
“The media environment is changing quickly and new formats bring opportunities to reach more readers,” said Miloš Štěpař, owner of New Look Media.[2] Cosmopolitan has been published in the Czech Republic since 1994, Harper's Bazaar since 1996.[2]
