Stanislav Svozil is an ice hockey defenceman. In 2021 he was selected in the third round of the NHL draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, for whom he played two games in the 2022/23 season.[4] In the 2019/20 season he was named rookie of the year of the Extraliga with Kometa Brno.[4] According to the Czech News Agency, he made his Extraliga debut for Litvínov with a goal in the sixth minute on the power play.[1] The daily iDNES.cz reported that he played in the first defensive pair and the second power-play unit and received the Star of the Game award.[2] Litvínov lost its postponed 11th-round Extraliga match against Hradec Králové on 15 October 2026 by 4:1, and Svozil spent 18 minutes and 44 seconds on the ice.[1]
Before his arrival in Litvínov, his situation at Kometa Brno was discussed in the media as unresolved; on 11 October 2026 Deník reported on the expected resolution of the situation.[3] According to the chairman of the Litvínov board Jiří Šlégr, Svozil is to improve the quality of the defence and bring good puck distribution.[5] The clubs confirmed the transfer agreement on 15 October 2026, and Litvínov took over from Kometa Svozil's three-year contract, which runs until the end of the 2028/29 season.[1] In the 2026/27 season he played two Extraliga games for Kometa before leaving.[5]
