Skalička is a village in the Přerov area. It has a municipal office and a primary school. [1][2]

Manor avenue

Skalička has a manor avenue made up of 22 lime trees and 10 oaks. According to the organisers of the Tree of the Year poll, it was planted gradually from 1626, when Count Zdeněk František Lev of Rožmitál looked after the local park, and his successors added further trees. The trees originally lined the dams of two ponds, and a nature path now runs alongside them. [1]

The avenue includes a pedunculate oak about 400 years old with a trunk circumference of 493 centimetres. The municipal office nominated it for the Partnership Foundation poll together with the children of the primary school. In the vote for the Tree of the Quarter Century, in which 13 earlier winners of the Tree of the Year poll competed, it received 5,727 votes and was declared the winner in Brno on 20 October 2026. The tree is to receive expert care. [1][2]
