RSVP Trust is a trust fund into which Prime Minister Andrej Babiš placed his stake in the Agrofert holding in February 2026. Babiš maintains that he does not own Agrofert.
In a letter to the Czech authorities, the European Commission stated that it does not consider the measures taken to address Babiš's possible conflict of interest sufficient. According to the Commission, Babiš's descendants are potential beneficiaries of the fund, and the prime minister has information about the fund's portfolio. In September 2026 the Commission therefore suspended for six months the deadline for payment of part of the funds from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Agrofert says it is convinced that it acted in accordance with the law. Unlike Agrofert, Babiš kept the SynBiol group in his ownership. The group's revenue for 2025 rose by 36 percent year on year to CZK 11.3 billion. [2] According to its consolidated annual report for 2025, the SynBiol group ended with a loss of CZK 477.5 million.
