The escape of a prisoner from his workplace is an event from 6 October 2026, when convict Filip Flanier left an unguarded workplace on Husova Street in Poděbrady, where he was serving a sentence for obstructing the execution of an official decision and for breach of an expulsion order.[1][2]

Course of events

Flanier left the workplace at around 5 p.m. The police issued a nationwide search for him that same evening.[2]

Description of the wanted man

At the time of his escape, Flanier was wearing work clothes, black work trousers, a grey T-shirt and black work boots, though the police did not rule out that he had since changed.[1][2] He is about 170 centimetres tall, of slim build, with brown hair, blue eyes, and prominent tattoos on both sides of his neck, on both arms and legs, and on his chest.[1][2]

Search

According to the police, Flanier has family ties to Pardubice, so it is possible he headed in that direction.[2] The police have asked the public to contact the 158 hotline if they spot the wanted man or have any information relevant to the search.[1][2]
