On 25 October 2026 the police intervened at the hospital in Frýdek-Místek after a report that an armed man might be in its vicinity. A person reporting it alerted the emergency line 158 shortly after eight in the morning. The caller reported a conflict between two people in front of the hospital and suspected that one of the men might have a weapon.[1][2]
All available police forces went to the scene and officers checked the hospital premises. According to police spokeswoman Nikol Bočková, the police remained at the hospital and cooperated with its management. The information about a weapon was not confirmed and, according to the police, there was no danger. Officers detained a person whom they described as a possible suspect.[1][2]
