Panav is an engineering company from Senice na Hané in the Olomouc area. According to Deník, it is among the largest manufacturers of trailers and semi-trailers in central and eastern Europe. Since 2011 it has belonged to the engineering group AML Holding.[1]
Production
The company makes flatbed, tipper, box and container vehicles, low-loaders, swap-body carriers and special vehicles. Its customers include, besides road hauliers, the Czech Armed Forces. Chief executive Pavel Paprskář says the company has a tradition of more than 130 years and that development and production take place entirely under its own management.[1][2]
Orders for armies
According to Hanácká Drbna, the company won an army contract worth 190 million crowns for 160 flatbed trailers and also supplied the Czech Armed Forces with trailers for mobile chemical laboratories. In 2025 it won a tender of the Belgian army for the supply of 204 trailers for transporting containers worth 11.21 million euros, which according to Deník is its first direct foreign military contract.[1][2]
In early October 2026 Panav handed the Czech Armed Forces the first refrigerated trailer for field kitchens. Deliveries take place under a framework agreement with the Vojenský technický ústav in Vyškov, which includes options for further units; the value of the agreement has not been published. According to the company, the trailer was developed for army use, has its own power source, an off-road chassis and three chambers with different temperature regimes for frozen, chilled and room-temperature food. The prototype passed company, inspection and troop trials.[1][2]
