In the Brno city district of Jundrov, the groupings Společně pro Jundrov and Jundrováci have agreed on a coalition after the 2026 municipal elections. They hold nine votes in the 15-member council. According to Společně pro Jundrov, Ondřej Vitula is to become mayor. The incumbent mayor Ivana Fajnorová (Zelení) is leaving office after 16 years.[1][2]

Election result

The list Zelená pro Jundrov won 34.14 per cent of the vote and five seats. The list Společně pro Jundrov, made up of representatives of ODS and non-party members, won the same number of seats. Jundrováci won 26.08 per cent of the vote and four seats, and SPD one seat.[1][2]

Coalition talks

Fajnorová said that Zelená pro Jundrov first held talks with Společně pro Jundrov. According to her, the offer included the post of a full-time deputy mayor and a majority on the council, but the grouping wanted to discuss it with the others and, before that happened, learned that the other side no longer wished to meet it. Vitula wrote that the post of mayor was a condition of his list, because it had committed to this to voters and had achieved a very good result, and the other side was not willing to accept it. Společně pro Jundrov stated on Facebook that it had chosen cooperation with Jundrováci, who offered conditions for fulfilling its promises. Zelená pro Jundrov and SPD will be in opposition.[1][2]
