On Sunday, 4 October 2026, shortly before half past one in the afternoon, a motorcycle accident occurred on road I/19 near Pelhřimov. According to police spokeswoman Dana Čírtková, it happened in the direction from Humpolec towards Tábor, in the stretch between the Shell petrol station and Starý Pelhřimov. The motorcyclist died at the scene.[1][2] According to Novinky.cz, the motorcyclist crashed at around 1:20 p.m. near the Shell petrol station.[2] Police publicly reported the accident on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at 5 p.m.[1]

Police have asked for help from witnesses who saw the accident or were passing through the area around 1:20 p.m. in either direction. They also welcome dashcam footage, and witnesses are asked to contact the 158 emergency line.[1][2]
