Matěj Hadaš is a footballer for Sigma Olomouc and a product of its youth system.[1] By his own account he has been at the club since the first grade of school. [3] He says he has a strong bond with the club and with the people who accompanied him from the youth teams into the first team. [3] After his first league goal he began addressing the Sigma stadium announcer informally; they had earlier bet that this would happen. [2] According to Hadaš, they made the bet at least two years ago. [3] In round 11 of the first league on 17 October 2026 he decided the 1:0 win of Olomouc over Liberec with a goal in the 11th minute.[1] At 22 he thus scored for the first time in the top division, in his 70th league start.[1] The visiting side from Liberec put the ball in the net three times, but none of the goals counted, and one of them was disallowed for offside. [1] According to the Czech News Agency, the goals came in the 36th and 53rd minutes, and the second was ruled out by video review because of a foul on the goalkeeper. [1]

The goal came after a shot by the Olomouc player Tkáč, which Hadaš luckily deflected against the movement of the Liberec goalkeeper. [1] Hadaš entered the starting line-up in place of the suspended Lurvinek, so coach Pavel Hapal changed only one player compared with the match in Teplice. [1]

The win moved Olomouc to fourth place in the incomplete table, and Liberec failed to win in the league for the third time in a row. [1]
