Martin Jandura is the mayor of Špindlerův Mlýn and a member of the group Špindlerův Mlýn – Město s vizí.[1][2] This group won the post of mayor in the previous municipal elections.[1][2]

2026 municipal elections

In the council elections held on 9 and 10 October 2026, Jandura heads the candidate list of the group Město s vizí. Seven groups and 105 candidates are competing for fifteen seats on the council, which according to the Czech News Agency is the most in recent years.[1][4] Špindlerův Mlýn has just under a thousand inhabitants, and roughly eight hundred of them are eligible to vote.[3]

According to Jandura, the newly elected councillors will decide on several large projects, a change of the zoning plan, the development of the ski resort and a new form of the town centre.[1][2] Deník N mentions in this connection a reconstruction of the centre worth two billion crowns that the Penta group could carry out.[3]
