Litovelské Pomoraví is a protected landscape area in the Olomouc Region.[1] It lies on the Morava river near Olomouc.[2]
The area includes floodplain forests that are home to many endangered plant and animal species.[1] On a meadow near the village of Moravičany, on the edge of the area, the agricultural company Palomo from Loštice uses a mobile henhouse with solar panels, which is moved forward by roughly five metres each day. [3] It houses hens of the Czech Dominant breed from the Líhně Studenec hatchery. [3] The henhouse has a steel frame with tarpaulin walls and is 15 metres long; it is technologically self-sufficient, using solar panels, automatic opening and a remotely controlled drive. [3]
In spring 2026, WWF Česko released young sterlets into the Morava in the area. The fish hatched in the river itself, in special incubation boxes placed in the current, and were released as tiny fry.[2]
