Linet is a maker of hospital and care beds, mattresses and other equipment. It also deals with technology development and services such as bed rental and servicing, and focuses on so-called smart care, in which sensors in the bed allow a patient to be monitored remotely [1][2]. The company was founded by Zbyněk Frolík in Želevčice near Slaný, where one of its plants is located; another plant is in Slaný [1][2].
Linet Group is headquartered in Dordrecht in the Netherlands, employs about 2,000 people and operates in roughly 120 countries. The Czech part of the group employs around 1,000 people [1][2][3].
In the 2025/2026 business year the group reached record revenue of 9.7 billion crowns, compared with almost nine billion a year earlier. Operating profit fell from 1.5 billion to 1.4 billion crowns and the company made 90,000 beds. It grew most in Europe, the United States and the Middle East. The Czech part had revenue of roughly 3.9 billion crowns, similar to the previous year, but profit fell from 744 million to roughly 490 million crowns [1][2].
Linet Group chief executive Tomáš Kolář explained the results by global factors, in particular tariffs imposed on the company's products in the USA and Brazil, and by the strengthening of the crown, which made domestic production more expensive and reduced the margin on exported goods. The company focuses on process efficiency through robotization and artificial intelligence tools. For the 2026/2027 business year it aims for double-digit growth in turnover and wants to concentrate on geographical expansion, innovation and acquisitions [1][2][3].
