The International Engineering Fair (MSV) is held in Brno at the exhibition centre. Its 67th edition took place from 6 to 9 October 2026 in eight pavilions.[1][2]

The 2026 edition

The fair presented 1,379 exhibitors from 39 countries, and the accompanying programme included around one hundred events.[1][2] Specialised fairs were held alongside it: the international fair of machine tools and forming machines IMT, the welding technology fair Welding, the fair of plastics, rubber and composites Plastex, the surface-treatment technology fair Profintech and the foundry fair Fond-Ex.[2]

The fair was opened by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO). He criticised the European emission allowance system, called for the abolition of ETS 1 allowances for refineries and a postponement of the introduction of ETS 2, and said that the Czech Republic loses CZK 50 billion a year on allowances. He then apologised, because he was due to take part in an online meeting with leaders of European countries.[1][2] The President of the Senate Miloš Vystrčil (ODS) called for solving problems together regardless of political affiliation.[2]
