Filip Salač is a Czech motorcycle racer. In the 2026 season he rides the World Championship in the Moto2 class for the OnlyFans American Racing team on a Kalex motorcycle. He is twenty-four years old.[1][2]
2026 season
In August 2026 he took his first Moto2 win at Silverstone. At the Austrian Grand Prix in September 2026 he won qualifying and finished second in the race, behind the Spaniard Izan Guevara.[1][2] Before the Japanese Grand Prix he was seventh in the standings with 128 points after fifteen of twenty-two races.[3]
In qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi on 3 October 2026, Salač crashed in the very first corner and returned to the track about three minutes before the end. Although he managed only two timed laps, he took second place with a time of 1:46.902, 51 thousandths of a second behind Guevara. On Facebook he wrote that he had ridden one of the best laps of his career.[1][2] In the race on Sunday 4 October 2026, according to iROZHLAS, he finished third, which was his fifth podium place.[4]
He had already finished third at Motegi in 2024.[3]
