Firefighters, police officers and rescuers were to hold an exercise on Wednesday 21 October 2026 near the centre of České Budějovice. According to Vendula Matějů, spokeswoman of the Fire Rescue Service of the South Bohemian Region, the event was to take place from 8:30 to 12:00, and increased movement of the services was expected mainly in the morning in the surrounding streets.
The organisers did not announce the topic of the exercise in advance. The exercise was not meant to disrupt normal traffic in the city or bring major restrictions; the public was to be careful and follow any instructions of members of the security forces.
In České Budějovice this was the second such exercise within a few days. On Tuesday 13 October 2026 the police exercise Active Attacker 2026 took place at the regional authority office, for which the street in front of the office was closed.
