Deputy David Pražák announced on Facebook on 27 October 2026 that he had ended his membership of the ANO movement. He will remain in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic as an unaffiliated member. He did not state the reason for leaving explicitly, but wrote that he did not want to criticise anyone in ANO, and thanked the movement for the experience of eleven years of membership.[1]

Pražák is serving his third term as a deputy; he was first elected in 2017. He is deputy chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and a member of the Committee on the Environment. The governing coalition holds 108 seats in the 200-seat chamber, so it does not lose its majority with his departure.[1]

Connection to Semily

Pražák said the decision had been maturing for some time and hinted at a connection with the situation in Semily. Together with him, councillors elected in Semily on the movement's candidate list also left ANO; they want to enter the new term as independents. Pražák was a part-time deputy mayor in the previous term and is to become part-time mayor in the new one. The coalition in the town is to be formed by Moje Semily, ANO and Volba pro Semily, with a majority of 18 of 21 votes.[1]

In the week before 27 October 2026, three councillors in Česká Lípa also announced their departure from ANO; the movement ended up in opposition there after eight years.[1]
